Abstract
:
Al wa’ad (promise) has a clear determined definition among ancient Muslim scholars. It is an information from a donor to make a favor in future to someone, They have different views on this commitment as follows a. Desirable to fulfill b. Absolutely obligatory to fulfill c. Obligatory to fulfill subject to certain conditions - The researcher is of the view that it is in the interest of the Islamic bank to oblige itself to fulfill the promise and that this obligation is possible in other cases, but it could not be applied to all cases. Whenever a benefit “maslaha” is inherent in a contract, there is no need to apply promise, even if it is obligatory..
